As schoolchildren in tranquil Stäfa on Lake Zurich at the end of the 1970s, Alex Macartney and Christian Pfluger asserted a “Stäfner Surrealism” with collages and zines. Macartney later became a comic artist and Pfluger created a musical-artistic-literary universe as the Welttraumforscher, to which the Kunsthaus Langenthal dedicated a retrospective in 2013. Now his early work can be discovered.
