Lou Masduraud
What Cracks?
Lou Masduraud (*1990, lives in Geneva) uses sculptural works and interventions in the structure of spaces to create a comprehensive installation. Forms borrowed from the functional architecture of public spaces are combined with ornamental and organic elements. The artist makes reference to the history of the building, which was once used for trade, government and administration in the town of Langenthal. She interrupts the usual exhibition tour, closes off certain rooms and opens up new perspectives and breakthroughs. She sees these as holes in reality, as symbolic doors to places of refuge that are protected from view and attribution.
